The Everyday Muslim team are proud to announce a one-day interpretation workshop in partnership with The National Army Museum. The workshop will allow a unique insight into the interpretation of museum collections.
The project entitled: Crown & Country: Colonial and Commonwealth Soldiers is designed to raise awareness of the contributions of soldiers and military workers recruited from across the former Empire and the Commonwealth towards British military history, with a particular reference to the centenary of the First World War.
The workshop includes: consultation and discussion, reinterpretation including access to objects from the collection, on colonial Commonwealth soldiers in the First World War. Most importantly it will give you the opportunity to take part in bringing the Muslim contribution to the British Army over the past century to the museum’s collection re-launch in 2016.
The workshop will take place on: Saturday 25th July 2015, 11am -2pm, Hertfordshire. (Address tbc).
Refreshments will be available and a part-subsidy for travel is also offered.
Spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first come basis.
