Join us for an evening of discussion and conversation to reflect on the partition of India, its impact on British Asian communities and how we can commemorate the history and legacy of one of Britain’s most significant empires in the public realm. We will also share initial visual concepts of ideas for a memorial. 

We will also introduce a digital and physical heritage trail that documents the narrative of the British presence in India, highlighting the significant historical, political, and social contributions of South Asian individuals in London after World War II. This trail will be intricately connected to the events of the Partition in India and will incorporate narratives of the survivors who have since made London their home.
